Women's Lives, Women's Voices
Women's voices have frequently been marginalised: whether it's their experiences of illness, healthcare or the family, they are frequently silenced, spoken over or erased. This life writing workshop run by Emily Reynolds seeks to give that voice back.
The first part of the workshop will include a short introduction to life writing, before attendees create their own short works in response to pieces in the exhibition that speak to them. In the final part of the workshop, attendees have the choice to share their writing if they wish to, and to discuss the themes and feelings that the exercise evoked.
Emily Reynolds is a journalist, and author of A Beginners Guide to Losing Your Mind.
