Royal Academician Cornelia Parker reflects on the Bethlem Museum of the Mind artwork that inspires her.

Cornelia Parker And Crazy Jane

As part of the Royal Academy’s 250th anniversary celebrations, Cornelia Parker will visit Bethlem Museum of the Mind where she will explore why Sketch of an Idea for Crazy Jane by Richard Dadd holds personal meaning and relevance to her own artistic process. Cornelia will be in discussion with broadcaster and RA artistic director Tim Marlow.

This event is part of a new series, with three Royal Academicians taking part in digital talks about their chosen Objects of Obsession: works of art by another artist that have great meaning to them.

Each revelatory encounter will be hosted by the gallery or museum which houses the piece, and streamed live on their Facebook and YouTube page to art fans across the globe. Bethlem Museum of the Mind is delighted to be one of the hosting institutions.

Objects of Obsession is brought to you in partnership with The Royal Academy and The Space.

This event will be filmed and streamed live and cannot be booked.
