Accessible toilets
There is one accessible unisex toilet located in ground floor.
Guide dogs, assistance dogs and therapy pets
Guide dogs, assistance dogs and therapy pets are permitted in all areas of the museum and gallery, provided they are clearly identified as such.
Induction loops
The museum’s permanent loop is available in the reception area and in the Wolfson Room. Please turn your hearing aid to the T symbol. Or ask a member of staff for further assistance.
Lifts
Our lift provides access to the second floor and opens into the temporary exhibition space. If you require assistance please ask a member of staff who would be happy to help.
Emergency evacuation
If you have particular needs in the event of emergency evacuation, please inform the Reception on arrival.
Parking
There are several parking bays designated for the use of disabled drivers. If you have difficulty finding a car parking space, please go to main reception. In addition there is free parking throughout the grounds. You can also drop off and pick up from directly outside the Museum entrance.

Large print versions of captions in the temporary exhibition space are available. Please ask at the Reception if you need further assistance.

Public Transport
The following routes to Bethlem Museum of the Mind should offer step free access, but please check with Transport For London beforehand.
East Croydon (16 mins from London Victoria or London Bridge), followed by SL5 bus (towards Bromley - Bethlem Royal Hospital stop). 119 bus (towards Bromley - Shirley Baptist Church stop) or 198 bus (towards Shrublands - Monks Orchard Road stop).
Bromley South (16 mins from London Victoria), followed by SL5 bus (towards Croydon - Bethlem Royal Hospital stop) or 119 bus (towards Croydon - Shirley Baptist Church stop).
