Bethlem Hospital Walking Tour

Join Museum Archivist David and volunteer Mary on a walking tour of Bethlem Hospital grounds, hear about the architectural theory and therapeutic aspirations that lay behind the Hospital’s construction, and get a sense of how the staff, service users and visitors of today experience the site. Please dress according to the weather, and wear closed-toe footwear.

Meet on the steps of Bethlem Museum of the Mind, situated centrally on the Bethlem Hospital site, for a prompt start at 10:30. The walking tour will end in the Museum building with an opportunity to see the Museum’s displays.

This tour is delivered as part of This is Croydon, London Borough of Culture, with the support of the Mayor of London and Croydon Council.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance. There won’t be space on this tour for anyone who has not booked a ticket!
