Breaking Bread
Come and join us for a discussion with Tim May about all things bread, and its historical, cultural and spiritual significance.
Tim May is an ordained Anglican minister currently starting a new church in East London, having previously been involved in national charity leadership. He is passionate about opening up a gracious space between the church and the culture. Tim lives with his wife Lulu, who is an artist, in Bethnal Green in a flat full of half read books and half painted pictures.
Bethlem Hospital was founded in 1247 as the Priory of the New Order of our Lady of Bethlehem, in the city of London during the reign of Henry III. It was established as St Mary Bethlehem Hospital which in Hebrew & Aramaic means 'House of Bread'.
