Growing Food and Wellbeing
Head Occupational Therapist Peter O'Hare will lead this tour of Bethlem Hospital's walled garden and orchard, where service users grow, tend, harvest and process their produce. Speaking about the impact of the work undertaken in the garden and orchard, Peter will also reflect upon the history of food production on the hospital site.
To safeguard the health and safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers, there is a maximum of 6 people per tour, and a limit of one hour on your visit. The tour will start from outside the Museum; please arrive on time and form a socially distanced queue on the ramp leading up to the entrance, ready for the start of your time-slot. You will need to bring a face-mask and a print-out of your emailed booking confirmation with you to join the tour.
Your guide will meet you, provide further information and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming you back!
Please note that this is an outdoor event. In case of inclement weather, we reserve the right to replace the tour of the walled garden and orchard with one of the indoor Museum displays.
