Tate Exchange: The Artists’ Spectrum
Investigate theories of personality and curate your own study of the artistic temperament as part of a collaboration between Bethlem Museum of the Mind and the Tate Modern. Drop in, browse the Tate’s collection and work with Bethlem artists to think about the seemingly strange production of personality charts, constellations, tests, typological ‘mind maps’, traits and diagnoses. What does it mean to be a creative type?
Shelagh McCarthy is a London based printmaker, bookbinder and freelance Creative-educator. She has designed and led creative workshops and courses for institutions including the British Library, Central Saint Martins, Westminster University, the British Museum, Battersea Arts Centre and The Guardian Education Centre.
Aviva Dautch is a freelance writer, academic and curator who specialises in museum education, working with many of the major London arts organisations. She is a Creative Producer for Bethlem Museum of the Mind, creating learning and outreach opportunities and cultural partnerships.
