The experiences of trauma, mental distress, contact with mental health services and everyday life can shape and disrupt a person’s sense of home, what it is and where it is. Artists whose work features in the reserve collections of Bethlem Museum of the Mind, many of which have never previously been on display, bring multiple perspectives to bear on this poignant theme. Their work displays equal measures of vulnerability, resilience and insight into a subject that concerns us all.
