Sanctuary at the Dragon Cafe
A month of activities exploring psychiatric and creative sanctuary and asylum through the ages. Every Monday (12 - 8.30pm) at the Dragon Cafe, a creative and imaginative space in Borough High Street.
Events include:
'Visiting Bedlam': A talk by researcher Mary Chapman about scrapbooks and public visiting in Regency Bethlem, interspersed with a performance of Elizabethan Bethlem Ballads - Monday 1 Sept, 7pm
'We Need to Talk About Sanctuary After the Asylum': Panel discussion with historians, researchers and clinicians - Monday 15 Sept, 7pm
'Curdled': A site-specific performance by Liz Atkin, Monday 22 Sept, 7pm
