Write on: writing workshop for adults and young adults

Come and create your own fantasy fiction. Author and journalist Samira Osman will lead a writing workshop, providing advice and encouragement for both the experienced writers and those who have always wanted to try their hand and never quite got round to it. The session will run from 11.00 to 14.00 with a break for lunch (bring a packed lunch and we’ll provide tea and coffee). The workshop will focus on the ‘Little Traveller’ sketchbooks which are featured in our current exhibition Youtopia. These beautiful illustrations have always fascinated the staff of Bethlem Museum of the Mind. They appear to tell the story of a little girl’s journey through a range of fantasy landscapes and adventures but we have never been able to find any written version. We hope the images will inspire a number of different narratives.
